Types of Haki
Sailor Piece implements two types of Haki: Armament Haki (Busoshoku) and Observation Haki (Kenbunshoku). Armament Haki coats your attacks in invisible armor, boosting damage output and allowing you to hit harder. Observation Haki improves your dodge timing and reveals nearby enemy positions. Both types of Haki become increasingly important as you progress through higher-level islands.
Unlock Armament Haki
Armament Haki is unlocked at Snow Island (1500+). Speak with the Haki Master NPC — the cost is 250,000 Cash + 250 Gems + a combat quest. Once unlocked, Armament Haki coats your attacks in invisible armor, boosting damage output significantly. It is essential for fighting stronger enemies on Boss Island and beyond. Make unlocking Armament Haki a priority as soon as you reach Snow Island.

Unlock Observation Haki
Observation Haki is unlocked at Desert Island (750+). Speak with the Observation Haki Master NPC — the cost is 250,000 Cash + 300 Gems. Observation Haki improves dodge timing and reveals nearby enemy positions on the mini-map. Tip: use a mobility-enhancing race ability (Mink sprint, Kitsune dodge) to make dodging easier during training. Conqueror Haki is later available at Shibuya Station (3000+).

Leveling Up Your Haki
Both Haki types have 10 levels. Armament Haki levels by hitting enemies while Haki-coated (press V to activate during attacks). Observation Haki levels by successfully dodging attacks with Haki active.

Using Haki in Combat
Manage both Haki types as a stamina resource.
Armament Haki
Drains stamina while active. Toggle it on when attacking tough enemies or bosses for bonus damage.
Observation Haki
Provides permanent passive mini-map enemy dots when active. Active Observation mode slows time briefly when you're about to be hit—activates automatically if Haki is enabled.
